As expected, the 4th book is now in stores, and I, being one of the first kids to review, found that it's the best Diary of a Wimpy Kid book yet. I have found a pattern in the Wimpy Kid books; the books seem to get better and better as sequels are released. This one in particular had a big leap. Not only was it more interesting, but it had a slightly more realistic storyline, and the jokes were so funny that I laughed my head off. But again, it was very realistic, so while reading it I feel like I just stole somebody's diary.

The new book tells about Greg Heffley's summer vacation, the first time in the series. Greg has a dream summer vacation that he wants to carry out - playing video games all day under a blanket with the shades drawn. But his mother appears to find his idea strange, and she is always trying to get Greg to go out and "play" like the other kids. What will happen to Greg's dream summer vacation? Will he make it through?

So why do I like this book more than the others? Well, for one thing, I can't help it, because whenever a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book is released, I always think it is better - no matter how good the book actually is. But this time, the book has way funnier jokes, and it reads more like a diary, so it really is better than the old books. But I'm not sure if this really is a good book for young kids, because it does have some stereotypes in it. But anyway, do you like this book? Are you interested in reading it?
